OUR STORY 💛

MEET THE
FAMILY
BEHIND MIA'S.

Mia's Panaderia is a family-owned home bakery in West Virginia built around a love for baking, family and making life a little sweeter. And yes — there really is a Mia.

💛

THE NAME BEHIND THE BAKERY

Mia's Panaderia is named after our daughter, Mia.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN 🍪

BORN DURING
AN UNCERTAIN TIME.

Mia's Panaderia wasn't part of some big business plan. It started in 2020, when the world changed and our family found ourselves asking the same question as so many others: What do we do now?

2026 A NEW CHAPTER
01

A FAMILY IDEA

When the pandemic began, our family was trying to figure out what came next. Caleb's work was affected as businesses pulled back on marketing, while Jayde already had something she was really good at: baking. So together, we decided to give selling baked goods a try.

02

STARTING SMALL

West Virginia's cottage food laws gave us the opportunity to start from home without a huge investment. We began small, wholesaling baked goods to local shops and even doing a little shipping. From the very beginning, it was Mia's Panaderia.

03

FAMILY CAME FIRST

As life began returning to normal, balancing the bakery with everything our young family needed became difficult. We wanted to make sure Mia had the time and attention she needed from us, so on June 28, 2021, we stepped away from Mia's Panaderia.

04

THE OVEN NEVER REALLY TURNED OFF

The business may have paused, but Jayde never really stopped baking. Over the next few years she continued making things here and there, keeping that creative part of Mia's alive even when the bakery itself wasn't operating.

AND THEN THE TIMING FELT RIGHT AGAIN

By the end of 2025, Mia was older and in school. For the first time in years, there was room for Mia's Panaderia to begin again.

A NEW CHAPTER 💛

SAME NAME.
BIGGER PURPOSE.

When we brought Mia's Panaderia back, we weren't simply reopening an old business. Our family was in a different season of life, and this time we had a clearer picture of what we wanted Mia's to become.

THE COMEBACK

THE TIMING FINALLY FELT RIGHT.

Mia was older and in school, giving our family more room to pursue something we had never completely forgotten about. Jayde began baking again, and little by little, Mia's Panaderia came back.

WHY IT MATTERS

THIS TIME, THE GOAL IS BIGGER THAN BAKING.

We want Mia's to become something that helps provide for our family, contributes toward Mia's schooling and gives us the opportunity to build a better life together — while doing something we're genuinely proud to share with other families.

THE PANADERIA

THERE'S A REASON FOR THE NAME.

Jayde's father is from Honduras, and baking Central American and Mexican-inspired sweet breads has become one way for her to connect with that part of her family's roots while sharing those traditions with our community. The sweet breads aren't going anywhere.

WHERE WE ARE TODAY

COOKIES OPENED A NEW DOOR.

Today, our oversized cookies have become a huge part of Mia's. After spending several months meeting customers through local pop-ups, we've shifted much of our focus toward shipping our baked goods directly to customers while still planning occasional in-person pop-ups during the cooler months.

FOR WHAT COMES NEXT

Growing carefully without losing the family, quality or heart behind Mia's.

THE STORY IS STILL BEING WRITTEN

Mia's started because our family needed to figure out what came next.
Funny enough, we're still figuring it out — one box at a time. 🍪

THANKS FOR BEING HERE 💛

YOU'RE PART OF
THE STORY NOW.

Every order, comment, share, recommendation and kind word has helped Mia's Panaderia become something bigger than the little idea our family started with years ago.

When you order a box from us, you're supporting a real family and a small West Virginia business. You're helping us continue doing something we love while building something meaningful for our family's future.

Whether you've been here since the beginning or just found us today, we're really glad you're here.

WITH LOVE

Caleb, Jayde & Mia 💛
